YMS Manufacturing Execution System is a production information management system aimed at the workshop execution layer of manufacturing enterprises.


 


YMS is defined as a workshop level management information system located between the upper level planning management system and the lower level industrial control. It provides operators/managers with the execution and tracking of plans, as well as the current status of all resources (people, materials, customer requirements, etc.). The purpose is to solve the black box problem in the factory production process and achieve visualization and controllability of the production process.


 


YMS system architecture:

The digital workshop combines information, network, automation, modern management, and manufacturing technology to form a digital manufacturing platform in the workshop, improving various aspects of workshop management and production, thus achieving agile manufacturing.


The YMS system is the core of the digital workshop. YMS achieves intelligent workshop manufacturing control, transparent production process, CNC manufacturing equipment, and integrated production information through digital production process control and automation and intelligent technology. The workshop YMS mainly includes workshop management system, quality management system, resource management system, and data collection and analysis system, which are implemented by the technical platform layer, network layer, and equipment layer.


 


YMS execution system composition:

The YMS system consists of functional modules such as workshop resource management, production task management, workshop planning and scheduling management, production process management, material tracking management, workshop monitoring management, and statistical analysis, covering aspects such as manufacturing site management.


 

 

1. YMS system workshop resource management

Workshop resources are the foundation of workshop manufacturing and production, as well as the basis for the operation of YMS system. Workshop resource management mainly manages workshop personnel, equipment, fixtures, materials, and working hours to ensure normal production and provide historical records and real-time status information of resource usage.


 


2. YMS system inventory management

Warehouse management is aimed at managing all inventory materials in the workshop. The materials in the workshop include self-made parts, outsourced parts, purchased parts, cutting tools, fixtures, and turnover raw materials. Its functions include: searching for stored materials in the warehouse through inventory management, querying current inventory status and historical records; Provide inventory counting and warehouse transfer functions, and set alarms for insufficient inventory of raw materials, cutting tools, and fixtures; Provide warehouse component inbound and outbound operations, including borrowing, returning, repairing, and scrapping of cutting tools/fixtures.


 


3. YMS system production process management

Production process management realizes closed-loop visual control of the production process to reduce waste such as waiting time, inventory, and overproduction. During the production process, various methods such as barcode, touch screen, and machine tool data collection are used to track the planned production progress in real time. Production process management aims to control production, implement and execute production scheduling, track the status of work and workpieces in the workshop, and outsource processes that are currently unable to be processed. Implement management functions such as process dispatching, external coordination, and complete set of processes, and display real-time workshop information and task progress information through dashboards.


 


4. YMS system production task management

Production task management includes functions such as receiving and managing production tasks, displaying task progress, and querying tasks. Provide all project information, query the specified project, and display the entire production cycle and completion status of the project. Provide production progress display, displaying tasks for today, this week, and this month in daily, weekly, and monthly formats, and distinguishing task stages by color to track project tasks.


5. YMS system workshop planning and scheduling management

Production planning is the key and difficult point of workshop production management. Improving the efficiency and accuracy of production scheduling by planners is an important means of optimizing production processes and improving production management levels.


The workshop receives the main production plan, and based on the current production status (capacity, production preparation, and ongoing tasks, etc.), production preparation conditions (drawings, fixtures, materials, etc.), as well as project priority and planned completion time requirements, reasonably formulates production and processing plans, supervises production progress and execution status.


Advanced Production Scheduling Tool (APS) combines real-time load conditions of workshop resources and existing plan execution progress to form an optimized detailed production scheduling plan after balancing capabilities. It fully considers the processing capacity of each equipment and adjusts it according to the actual situation on site at any time. After completing automatic scheduling, conduct plan evaluation and manual adjustment. In small-scale, multi variety, and multi process production environments, advanced scheduling tools can be used to quickly respond to complex situations of urgent order insertion.

 

6. YMS system material tracking management

Manage and track logistics during the production process through barcode technology. During the production process, materials are tracked online through barcode scanning to monitor their flow and ensure fast and efficient circulation in the workshop, which can be queried at any time.


 


8. YMS system production monitoring and management

Production monitoring realizes the monitoring of the production process from multiple dimensions such as production plan progress and equipment operation status, and realizes the management of workshop alarm information, including equipment failure, personnel absence, quality and other reasons alarm information, timely discovering problems, reporting problems and handling problems, thus ensuring the smooth progress and control of the production process. Combining distributed digital control DNC system and MDC system for equipment networking and data collection. Implement device monitoring to improve the utilization rate of bottleneck devices.


 


9. Statistical analysis of YMS system

Being able to perform statistical queries on the data generated during the production process, analyze it to form reports, and provide reference data and decision support for subsequent work. The data in the production process is rich, and the system customizes different statistical query functions according to needs, including: product processing progress query; Workshop work in progress inquiry; Workshop and workstation task query; Complete product matching query; Quality statistical analysis; Analysis of workshop capacity (manpower and equipment) utilization rate; Statistical analysis of scrap rate/defective rate, etc
